Here at the Surf Coast Trek we love sharing the reasons why our trekkers have chosen to take on the Trek. This time around we spoke with Satbir Singh who will be completing the Trek for the very first time.
How did you hear about the Trek and what made you decide to take part?
I work at Coulter Roache who are really strong supporters of the community. The firm sent an email around to all staff and I thought it was a fantastic cause.
Have you done the Trek before?
Nope. First time.
What are you looking forward to most about the Trek?
40km is a long journey – I am looking to forward to the challenge with my colleagues.
You’ve not only hit, but have exceeded, your fundraising target as well, what did you do to reach it?
I spoke to a lot of friends and advised that I was doing a big trek. They are very supportive of the cause and interested to see if I could manage a 40km walk, most doubt I can, so want to see the results.
What’s the first thing you’ll do after crossing the finish line?
Sitting down – perhaps for days!
What would you say to those on the fence in registering for the Trek?
Get on board a great cause!
