FREE 10 x Week Professional Personal Training Program for Surf Coast Trek participants valued at more than $500
We are not all made for running or the intense training required for a marathon; the Surf Coast Trek is the prefect alternative. It is scenic, varied, challenging and rewarding and is of an achievable distance for people of a low to moderate levels of fitness (with some preparation beforehand)
- The trek is not difficult and is on a well-made and marked trail that provides a great sense of journey
- It does not pass through any remote landscapes and remains very accessible along its entire length – giving people the opportunity to withdraw at any stage
- It does not pass through any private land and can be accessed at any time for training and course familiarisation
To support your training and event preparations, we are very pleased to advise that Mick O’Malley of O’Malley Fitness and Australian Kokoda Tours will be conducting a free 10 week group training program for Surf Coast Trek participants – a fantastic opportunity to take advantage of the opportunity to receive expert training from one of Australia’s leading and most experienced personal trainers. The training program is optional but why not take advantage of the opportunity to improve your fitness and get yourself in the best possible shape for the Trek!

Mick is a former 2 time Victorian, 3 times Australian and Commonwealth super featherweight boxing champion who has been leading expeditions across the Kokoda Trail for the past 10 years. His impressive record is staggering when you take into account he broke his left hand twice and his right hand nine times. He was able to overcome all this on his way to a world ranking of number three and he was the first Australian in 24 years to win a Commonwealth title on foreign soil as well as the first Australian ever to win two national titles in the same year. With the same dedication, focus and enthusiasm he displayed as a distinguished professional athlete, Mick is helping others achieve their goals.
